The event will begin the celebration with a photo exhibit of
Cedar Hill Cemetery courtesy of Chris Ryon & George Moraitis. Gene Horton will give a presentation: “Sleeping in Suffolk”, a look into notable and historic figures buried in Suffolk County Cemeteries at 8:00 pm.

Spirit Tour
June 12, 2010—Rain or Shine
10:00 am—4:00 pm
at Cedar Hill Cemetery Liberty Avenue, Port Jefferson

As you embark on a guided walking tour through the historic Cedar Hill Cemetery, you will visit with “Spirits” who will share experiences that touched the lives of individuals in our communities from yesteryear.

Tours leave every 15 minutes from the Port Jefferson High School parking lot located at the corner of Old Post Road and Dark Hollow Road in Port Jefferson beginning at 10:00 am.
The last Tour leaves at 4:00 pm. Each Tour lasts approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours of walking up hills including uneven grounds. This Tour is not handicap accessible. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sun screen. You must be able to independently walk this Tour over unimproved
hilly terrain.

Pre- registration is strongly recommended. Please arrive
15 minutes prior to your Tour’s departure. Allow extra
time for parking.
